EAT OUT 2022 and 2023
THE BRIEF
In 2022 and 2023, Eat Out appointed MANGO-OMC to manage the publicity for the Eat Out Woolworths Restaurant Awards.
The publicity campaigns have had to achieve several objectives such as introducing and then continuously highlighting the headline sponsor, introducing and then reinforcing the star rating system that was introduced in 2022, celebrating the food industry and its emergence from the pandemic, creating awareness for the event and in 2023, to also promote female empowerment.
WHAT WE DID
Our tactics for promoting the Awards included engaging with the industry, celebrities and influencers and identifying strong angles for the various key commâs mandates. Tools included influencers and celebrities, press release and article content for media and bloggers, and more.
Over time, we have established strong relationships with media, bloggers and influencers. Targets are set each year and both social and media mentions captured and measured. Reputation management is embedded in all commâs.
RESULTS
The Advertising Value Equivalent (AVE) grew from just under R30,000,000.00 in 2022 to R40,000,000.00 in 2023. Relationships with influencers and celebrities is growing and positive engagement with the industry is taking place.
