Lc Waikiki Fashion Launch – Influencer Campaign – Dec 2018
BRIEF AND REQUIREMENTS
LC Waikiki (LCW) was not known in Cape Town and needed extensive communications support for the opening of their store in Tyger Valley Shopping Centre.
MANGO-OMC was tasked with assisting the team based in Turkey with everything on the ground for the store launch.
COMMUNICATION ACTIVITIES
- Working with the event management company to ensure a PR narrative flowed throughout the event. This included the programme, fashion show concept, branding, the launch itself, scripts and more.
- Running the full budget for the event as well as the communications.
- Sourcing celebrities to participate in the Fashion Show as well as the launch event.
- Selecting, scripting and working with the celebrity MC.
- Selecting and working with the six models who were influencers in their own right and ensuring that the social media aligned.
- Working with media, bloggers and fashion influencers pre-during-and-post event. Including hosting them at the event and ensuring that the LCW Turkish and SA teams were introduced to them.
- Introduction to key businesses in Cape Town and facilitation of the introduction of LCW to the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- Alignment and collaboration with Tyger Valley Shopping Centre for all communications to ensure that all were amplified across their owned channels, via earned media and for LCW specific media.
- Generation of content for internal and external channels.
- Hosting the Turkish team.
RESULTS
Some of the results (as of november 2020) and over a 3 month period of time.
- 7,500% increase in social media engagement on LCW channels.
- 61,000% increase in social media reach.
- RECORD number of shoppers in an opening weekend.
