Four reasons why team work is important

Mango February 17, 2017 0

Over the past few weeks, I have learnt that team work within a business is extremely important as it contributes to the efficiency of the organisation. MANGO-OMC focuses on collaboration when dealing with the majority of our projects. I feel that working together only adds to the overall success of the team and how we successfully carry out our tasks. Fruitful collaboration amongst colleagues contributes to the successful functioning of MANGO-OMC in the following ways:

  1. Projects are done a lot faster when a team approaches it together instead of individually:

Projects are completed at a faster pace when our team works on them together. Each team member can be assigned a task that is in line with their interest, skills and expertise ensuring that the project in its entirety is executed well.

  1. Our work is never placed second, even when employees are unable to work on a task:

If a team member is on leave, off sick or snowed under on a deadline, there is always a team member that can easily pick up the slack due to the level of team work that is entrenched at MANGO-OMC. We always know what is happening with every project and client, and therefore there is very limited down time when something unexpected pops up.

  1. Teamwork improves relationships within our business:

As we work closely together on the majority of tasks, we are able to get to know each other and form bonds amongst our team. Forming bonds with colleagues is important as it contributes to a more comfortable and therefore thriving working environment.

  1. We can learn from one another:

Every team member is different in their own way and has different strengths and weaknesses. I feel that this aspect is extremely important because when continuously working with people who are different to you, you have the ability to broaden your knowledge and skills set, which you would not have been able to do if you were working in isolation.

Working together in unison benefits the productivity and functioning of MANGO-OMC as it creates a more motivated environment, which in turn pushes us to be as efficient and productive as we possibly can be.
